Attention Recent Grads: If you are sitting for the NC Bar, check out the FREE Bar Exam Writing Clinic offered by the NCBA on June 5th. The deadline to register is May 31st! There will be one held in Charlotte, NC and one held in Cary, NC. Here are the details:
The North Carolina Bar Association’s Minorities in the Profession Committee and Young Lawyers Division Bar Exam Committee will host a Bar Exam Writing Clinic for individuals sitting for the July 2010 North Carolina Bar Exam. The focus of the clinic is to provide bar candidates with the opportunity to get practical information about the North Carolina Bar Exam. The Clinic will include a representative from the North Carolina Board of Examiners who will cover topics such as how the bar exam questions are selected and scored, and stories from successful attorneys about surviving and conquering the bar exam. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to take part in a portion of the program specifically directed to the essay questions, which will include tips on how bar candidates can improve their essay writing skills.
