Career Skills Workshop & Networking Reception on October 22

3:30 – 5:00 pm in the Courtroom:  Keynote Speaker- Donna Gerson
Join us to hear guest speaker, Donna Gerson, offer advice on networking and business communication. Brooks Brothers will also do a brief presentation on business and interview attire.  They are offering discount coupons to all attendees and will raffle off several free dress shirts!

Donna Gerson is a contributing editor for Student Lawyer magazine (American Bar Association). She is also the author of several books on legal career issues, including Choosing Small, Choosing Smart, Building Career Connections and the new Asked and Answered series published by Thomson Reuters. “Last year Donna spoke to Wake Law students about the Small Firms Job Market”. After clerking for a judge in Philadelphia, Donna worked as a litigator in Pittsburgh before joining the Career Services Office at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She served as the director of the Career Services Office for seven years before becoming a full-time writer and speaker.

5:00 – 6:00 pm in the Courtyard:  Networking “Wine & Cheese” Reception with the Law Board of Visitors
Following the presentation, students are invited to attend a joint reception with alumni who are meeting at the Law School that day. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet alumni who have invested themselves in helping the Law School and its students succeed!
