The Office of Career & Professional Development is committed to helping you define your professional identity, explore career options, and identify and pursue your career goals. We create the foundation for this work in your 1L Professional Development class, where you engage in a process of self-reflection and self-directed learning that acclimates you to the culture of the legal profession, educates you on the various areas of practice, and equips you with the tools you need to pursue your goals. It is during this class that you begin to develop a relationship with your career advisor, who remains your coach and guide through all three years of law school and beyond.

Our office is dedicated to helping you identify and pursue your own career path. We do this with a range of tools, including, but not limited to:

  • one-on-one career advising
  • career programs and workshops
  • self-assessment and career instruments
  • access to a network of alumni
  • interview preparation and mock interviews
  • job search resources
  • access to job listings
  • on-campus & off-campus interview programs
  • summer internship and judicial clerkship searches
