About Our Office

Our career advisors come from a variety of legal backgrounds, with professional experience ranging from private practice, to public interest and government, to academia and nonprofit organizations. We encourage students to maintain regular contact and take advantage of access to their individual career advisor for job search strategy sessions, resume and cover letter review, interview preparation, or simply for encouragement and advice.

Our employer outreach coordinator works to maintain relationships with alumni, professionals, and potential employers in North Carolina and across the country. These relationships benefit students in multiple ways: by providing professional contacts in specific geographic locations; by providing an opportunity for students interested in a specific practice area to seek advice and mentoring; and by providing a potential link to job opportunities. In addition to developing their own professional network, students gain access to the Wake Forest Law professional network.

Our office also facilitates workshops and other events aimed at helping students reach their career goals, from learning about specific practice areas, to finding unique career opportunities, to networking with professionals and alumni. Details are always available in our e-newsletters and in the Events section of Symplicity. We encourage students to find time in their schedules to attend these programs.

Finally, our office works to bring employers on campus to interview students, participates in job fairs/interview programs nationwide, and post job opportunities through our internal system. Students can review details and apply for opportunities through Symplicity. On-campus interviews and job fair opportunities are publicized through newsletters and email.
